- Is AGCONN really free for workers?
Yes. Workers never pay — not for signup, not for applications, not for certificates, not for SMS notifications. The platform is funded by employer subscriptions and grant partnerships.
- How do you verify Farm Labor Contractors?
Every FLC must hold an active CA DIR/DLSE license and a federal MSPA registration. We confirm both manually at signup (within 1 business day) and re-check nightly via scraper. License lapses or revocations are flagged automatically and the employer's postings are paused until resolved.
- Are AGCONN certificates legally valid?
Yes. Certificates are React-PDF documents e-signed under California UETA, with cryptographic verification embedded in the file. They include the issuing organization's identifier, the program funder, dates, and a unique credential ID that's verifiable from the public certificate page.
- Do I need a computer to use AGCONN?
No. AGCONN works on any phone that can receive SMS — no computer, no smartphone, no app store, no email. Sign up with your phone number, receive job alerts by text, and apply with one tap.
- What WIOA fields do AGCONN exports include?
Exports include all required WIOA Title I fields plus CalJOBS-specific extensions: PIRL elements 100–1900, demographic data (where consented), placement details with employer + wage + start date, training program completions, credential IDs, and follow-up retention. Available as CSV and XLSX, with a custom field mapper for state-specific overlays.
- Can I export my data if I leave the platform?
Yes — at any time, in JSON or CSV, with no fee and no exit ramp. Workers can export their full profile + applications + certificates. Employers can export their postings + applicant pipeline + hires. Training orgs can export rosters + completions + certificate metadata.
- When will AGCONN expand beyond the Central Valley?
Imperial County and the Salinas Valley are next on the roadmap (target Q4 2026), pending grant alignment with regional CDFA partners. Outside California will require state-by-state legal and licensing diligence — we're starting that work but won't commit a date until verification infrastructure is reliable.
- Is my information protected?
Yes. Worker personal data is never shared without explicit consent. Employers see only the profiles of applicants who apply to them. Grant reports are aggregated and anonymous. We comply with CCPA, FERPA (for training data), and federal WIOA privacy policy.
- What does AGCONN do with my phone number?
We use your phone number to send sign-in codes, job alerts you opt into, and a weekly digest in your language. We do not sell, share, or rent your number to anyone. You can delete your account and all associated phone records at any time from your profile.
- What if my employer pays less than the posted wage?
Every job posting on AGCONN shows a wage range that the employer signed off on. If the actual pay is below the posted minimum, report it from the job page or by replying to your hire confirmation SMS. We log the report, contact the employer, and pause new postings from that employer if the dispute is verified. Repeat issues remove the employer from the platform.
- Does my CDFA certificate work outside California?
CDFA-funded trainings are recognized California-wide. Some certifications (pesticide handler, forklift operator) follow federal OSHA standards and transfer across states; others are California-specific. Each training program lists its scope on the program page. Your skills wallet preserves the certificate PDF in both languages so you can share proof with any employer.
- When does an employer get charged on AGCONN?
Seed plan employers are never charged — they get 2 active postings, applicant kanban, and in-app inbox messaging. SMS to applicants from kanban actions (received, interview, hired, rejected) is a Field+ feature. Field employers pay $199/mo or $1,990/yr (founder pricing $99/$990 for the first 50 paid accounts) for unlimited postings, worker search, applicant SMS, and crew scheduling. Farm employers pay $499/mo or $4,990/yr (founder pricing $299/$2,990) for multi-user accounts, branded grant exports, and PIRL compliance. Workers always receive platform-triggered SMS — new job alerts on saved searches, training reminders, account auth — regardless of which employer's posting matched. There is no per-hire fee and no commission on wages. Workers never pay anything.
- Can a workforce board run their own AGCONN instance?
Yes — AGCONN is multi-tenant from day one. Workforce boards, county agencies, or grant administrators can run an AGCONN tenant with their own employer set, training programs, and reporting dashboards. Branding stays under your organization. Contact [email protected] to start a tenant onboarding.
- What is the platform uptime guarantee?
AGCONN targets 99.9% uptime measured monthly. SMS sign-in, job browse, and applications are the highest-priority paths. A public status page is coming soon; until then, incidents that affect a public surface for more than five minutes are posted to [email protected] subscribers and on the trust page.
